The inspiring true story of a young Ruth Bader Ginsburg (Felicity Jones), a passionate and dedicated lawyer who brings a case before the US Supreme Court in 1975 that could change women’s lives for the better. Her claim: that the law discriminates on the basis of gender and this ground-breaking case before the U.S. Court of Appeals could overturn a century of gender discrimination.

At the heart of Ruth’s journey is a moving romance with her husband Marty (Armie Hammer) and a poignant relationship with her daughter, who embodies a new generation of women following in Ruth’s footsteps. As Ruth struggles to be heard, even hired, in a profession dominated by men, Marty becomes her greatest ally in a partnership built on love and equality.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was later appointed Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, a position she holds to this day. The feature premiered in 2018 in line with Justice Ginsburg’s 25th anniversary on the Supreme Court.

See where her story began in this stirring, heartfelt drama.

9.45am: 2. AT ETERITY’S GATE-PG: Drama (1hr 51mins)

Famed but tormented artist Vincent van Gogh spends his final years in Arles, France, painting masterworks of the natural world that surrounds him.

Julian Schnabel’s ‘At Eternity’s Gate’ is a journey inside the world and mind of a person who, despite scepticism, ridicule and illness, created some of the world’s most beloved and stunning works of art. This is not a forensic biography, but rather scenes based on Vincent van Gogh’s (Academy Award® Nominee Willem Dafoe) letters, common agreement about events in his life that present as facts, hearsay, and moments that are just plain invented.
