Please note that this event has had to be cancelled and rescheduled due to the host suffering an accident. It will now be rescheduled for June.
SWIC members are invited to visit Tresillian Wollstonecraft Family Care Centre for a tour and morning tea. The building, known as ‘Carpenter House’, is heritage listed and was bequeathed to Tresillian by the Carpenter family in 1940. It’s about to undergo a major ‘facelift’ and upgrade.
Tresillian has 15 Family Care Centres across regional NSW, the ACT and Victoria, with four in metropolitan Sydney along with a Help Line, providing nursing and psychology help to weary families with a baby or toddler. Its specialty is to support new Mums and Dads who struggle with the challenges that parenthood can bring. The aim of Tresillian is to ensure all expectant families and those with infants and young children will have access to quality parenting advice, support and care which will enable them to raise their children with confidence within their own cultural context and values.
