Our August event is a guided tour of ‘Archie 100’, marking the Archibald’s historic 100th milestone. This landmark exhibition explores the rich history of the Archibald Prize, unearthing fascinating stories behind more than 100 artworks carefully selected from every decade. Arranged thematically, Archie 100: A Century of the Archibald Prize reflects not just how artistic styles and approaches to portraiture have changed over time but, importantly, the changing face of Australia.
As advised in our July Events Notice, if you attend our July Tour of the Archibald Prize Exhibition, you are eligible for a reduced Tour Fee of $10.00 for this exhibition.

TRANSPORT: The NSW Art Gallery is located on the Eastern side of Sydney’s CBD, next to the Royal Botanic Gardens and the Domain, just down the road from St Mary’s Cathedral. The Art Gallery is approximately a 5-minute walk from Macquarie Street, across the Domain, or from Hyde Park.
BUS: Please note that the 441 bus from the Queen Victoria Building does NOT commence its service until 10.00am.
