
Thursday Afternoon Symphony has now been added to the Classical Music series. Performances by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra by a variety of composers commencing at 1.30pm.
These are two hour (with intervals) concerts with free pre-concert talks in the foyer usually by the musician who explains the music, talks about musicians and composers.
Today’s performance will be Ludwig van Beethoven’s (1770-1827)
Piano Concerto No 4 performed by Spanish virtuoso Javier Perianes (1978) recognised as one of the best pianists in the world.
In the second part we will hear Beethoven’s Symphony No 4 conducting by Chief Conductor Simone Young.
Pre-concert talk starts 45 minutes before, in the foyer, free.

TIME: All performances are at 1.30pm.
