[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]Join Art & Culture on Tuesday 15 September for another Sydney architectural walking tour, this time – ‘Modern Sydney’.
Guided by the spirit of inter-war modernity, we will trace a lazy path through the guts of Sydney from Anzac Memorial in Hyde Park to the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Urban and architectural ideas that were originally imported from Europe or North America will be traced, the influence of distance, culture and technology and the local political, cultural and physical landscape will be discussed, as well as the influence of modernity on the modern city.
Our guide will once again be Eoghan Lewis, architect and founder of award winning practice Eoghan Lewis Architects (ELA) and the Sydney Architecture Walks (SAW).
MEET: 10.00am at the Anzac Memorial, Hyde Park (north side near the pool) – nearest station is Museum.
FINISH: 12.00pm near the Sydney Opera House
COST: $30 per person (Payable on the day)
GROUP SIZE: Minimum 15 members
RSVP by 8 September to Carole Hopper at [email protected] or 0413 887 435
