Challenging Walk – Cremorne Point to Balmoral Beach

Tuesday, July 2, 2024 @ 9:20 AM - 2:00 PM

This walk commences at Cremorne Point Wharf. It takes us past Mosman Bay, Little Sirius Cove and Taronga Zoo. We then take in Bradley’s Head and Chowder Bay before walking through Sydney Harbour National Park and reaching our final destination at Balmoral. It is a bit over 11 kms and will probably take 3.5-4 hours. You are welcome to join us for part of this walk and depart at any point. Note you must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace

DATE: Tuesday 2 July 2024

TIME: 9:20 – 2:00 approximate (includes time for lunch but excludes return travel time)

VENUE: Circular Quay – arrive 9:20 at the wharf to catch the 9:30 am ferry arriving at Cremorne Point by 9:40. If you intend to join us from Cremorne Point, please be there no later than 9:40 and inform the leader beforehand.

COST: Bring a packed lunch and we will find a spot to eat whilst enjoying the views which this walk offers.

TRANSPORT: Ferry from Circular Quay to Cremorne Point.  The 238 buses from Raglan Street at The Esplanade return to Taronga Zoo Wharf, offering a ferry return to Circular Quay. The 114 buses also leave Raglan Street at The Esplanade, going to Spit Junction, Military Road. From there you can catch the B-line to Wynyard. There are some other transport options that involve a 12-15 mins walk before catching a bus which are provided in the Transport NSW Trip Planner.
