Q Station (formerly known as North Head Quarantine Station) is a stalwart in Australian colonial history. From 1832 Q Station served as the barrier between the outside world and Australia, as a quarantine station from deadly diseases such as the Black Death! Today we will enjoy the ‘Disease and Burial History Tour’, which gives us hidden access to buildings not normally seen, in addition to recounting grim tales of disease and death. Note: This tour is not for the squeamish, as it contains details of medical procedures/operations. Additionally, wear appropriate footwear as we are walking.
