[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]We begin our Challenging Walk program this year with a suburban walk through charming Balmain, past local wharves and harbourside parks. As we will be passing the Dawn Fraser Baths in Elkington Park, those who would like may stop for a swim (which, incidentally, is what the Convenors are planning to do!). Built in the early 1880s, Dawn Fraser Baths is the oldest pool and swimming club in Australia. A Heritage Building on the National Trust and on the Register of the National Estate, renovated and preserved for future generations, the amenities give us the best of both worlds.
The swim will be followed by a walk along Darling Street, home to many cafes and shops, back to our starting point in East Balmain.
Further details will be sent to those who respond nearer to the date of the walk.
