[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As part of NAIDOC (National Aborigines and Islanders) Week celebrations held across Australia in July, we are going to visit the World Heritage-listed Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park and take a Guringai Aboriginal Tour with a guide.
DATE: Thursday 27 July 2017
TIME: 11.00am – 2.30pm
VENUE: Basin Track, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, NSW 2085
Meeting Point: We will meet at the Basin Track car park, which is 9.5k from the toll booth on the West Head Road. Our guide will do a welcome to country, then a walk to an aboriginal carving site (it’s a 200 metre flat easy walk), where she will give a short talk before going into the site. We will then visit a women’s area. Our tour will end at the lookout at West Head for a fabulous view.
COST: $20.00 (payable on the day)
RSVP TO: Beatrice de Lucey at [email protected]
RSVP BY: 20 July 2017
TRANSPORT: No public transport. Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is a 45 minutes drive from the Sydney CBD. I suggest we meet somewhere and car pool as it is $12.00 a car at the site. There is also a café on site which our tour guide is happy to book for us.
