SUMMARY:Go Saturday - Exploring the Powerhouse Museum
DESCRIPTION:For the second ‘Go Saturday’ activity\, we will explore the Powerhouse Museum\, the flagship venue of the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS). Here a diverse collection can be found covering science\, technology\, design and decorative arts\, engineering\, architecture\, health\, medicine\, fashion and contemporary culture. \nWe will spend some time exploring the permanent exhibitions related to all of the above and admire the famous model of the Strasburg Clock. DESCRIPTION:The Movie Group meets on the 4th Tuesday morning each month to see a film at the Dendy Quays Cinema (between Circular Quay and the Opera House). \nThere are usually three films for members to choose from. Details of the films and times will be posted on the SWIC Movie Group Calendar of Events on Thursday or Friday in the week before the showing\, when the program is available. Please buy your ticket when you arrive at the theatre. No need to RSVP\, just come along. \nSWIC members usually meet before the film in the foyer of the cinema.
