DESCRIPTION:The Wollstonecraft Centre is undergoing reconstruction\, so please join us at Tresillian Willoughby\, 2 Second Avenue\, Willoughby\, for a tour through the Centre\, followed by morning tea. \nTresillian has 15 Family Care Centres across regional NSW\, the ACT and Victoria\, with four in metropolitan Sydney along with a Help Line\, providing nursing and psychology help to weary families with a baby or toddler. Its specialty is to support new Mums and Dads who struggle with the challenges that parenthood can bring. The aim of Tresillian is to ensure all expectant families and those with infants and young children will have access to quality parenting advice\, support and care which will enable them to raise their children with confidence within their own cultural context and values. \nTresillian Willoughby has occupied the Willoughby Centre since 1927\, with the old home now heritage listed. \nDATE: 24 June 2021 \nTIME: 10:30am – 12noon \nLIMITED TO MAX 20 \nVENUE: Tresillian Willoughby Family Care Centre\, 2 Second Avenue\, Willoughby\, NSW 2068 \nCOST: Free. DESCRIPTION:Rummikub is an exciting and fun game\, just right for exercising the little grey cells in our brains and making new friends. If you don’t know the game\, it has a bit in common with the card game Rummy. It is very simple to learn\, has lots of twists\, and quickly becomes addictive! \nBeginners are welcome and there is no need to bring your own game. It is possible to play Rummikub with different numbers of people in one game. \nWe are currently playing weekly in people’s homes\, but there is no obligation to come every week. This exhibition is often described as Australia’s most engaging art event and is eagerly anticipated by artists and audiences alike. This year ‘The Archies’ turn 100! \nThe Archibald Prize\, first awarded in 1921\, is one of Australia’s favourite art awards\, and one of its most prestigious. Awarded to the best portrait painting\, it is a who’s who of Australian culture – from politicians to celebrities\, sporting heroes to artists.
