SUMMARY:International Morning Tea – Malaysian (WAIT LIST)
DESCRIPTION:Please join us at the June International Morning Tea to celebrate Malaysian cuisine. Malaysia cuisine reflects the multi-ethnic makeup of its population where the vast majority of Malaysia‘s population can roughly be divided among three major ethnic groups: Malays\, Chinese and Indian. Malaysia’s culinary style in the present day is primarily a melange of traditional ethnic groups resulting in a symphony of flavours which make Malaysian cuisine highly complex and diverse. \nOur hostess\, Chris Burns\, joined SWIC in 2005\, is currently the Interest Group Convenor for North Shore Golf and is a past President. Chris lived in Malaysia with her husband Colin for many years. Thank you to our Malaysian member for assisting with the delicious food for the morning tea. \nDATE: Tuesday 12 June 2018 \nTIME: 10.30am – 12.30pm \nVENUE: Home of Chris Burns\, 23 Ferdinand St\, Hunters Hill 2110 \nCOST:  No cost \nRSVP TO: Gillian Watson at watsongillian8@gmail.com \nRSVP BY: Tuesday 5 June 2018 \nTRANSPORT: \nStreet parking: Use your direction finder to locate Ferdinand St.  Drive to the end and turn right onto North Parade and park there or in the surrounding streets.  Walk down the drive at the end of Ferdinand St to the first house on the left: No. 23. \nPlease arrange with Chris if you have walking concerns and she’ll arrange for you to park your car close to the front door. \nFerry – Departs at 9.45am from Circular Quay Wharf 5 to Woolwich.  At 10.20am the 538 bus departs the wharf and alight at Ferdinand St.  It’s a 5 min walk. \nBus  – Buses depart from the city and you need to change bus and side of the street – it’s a bit tricky so please check with Transport NSW.
