[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]This tour, led by architect Eoghan Lewis, is an exploration of the dynamic inner-city suburbs of Chippendale and Ultimo, weaving a very different narrative through Sydney. We will explore the area between the White Rabbit Gallery and Frank Gehry’s ‘Dr Chau Chak Wing’ building in Ultimo where Sydney is undergoing the most dramatic of transformations. The route and the conversation will be structured around a number of contemporary architectural and urban projects including:
– The Goods Line by young Sydney practices Aspect and CHROFI
– Jean Nouvel and Patrick Blanc’s One Central Park (the apartment building with the ‘green walls’ behind Central Station)
– The 6Ha Central Park development master planned by Norman Foster that will achieve a 6-star Green Star sustainability rating
– The recent UTS buildings, including Durbach Block Jaggers Thomas Street Building, Gehry’s Business School and DCM’s FEIT Building
– The newly developed Kensington Street and The Old Clare Hotel by TZG
