Gerrie grew up in the southern part of the Netherlands, where she met her husband Math. Due to Math’s work she moved to the central part of the Netherlands, near Utrecht. In 2012, five years later, they moved to Sydney where Math had been offered a job. Gerrie has been a member of SWIC since she arrived in Sydney and was co-convenor of the Easy Walk for two and a half years.
