
Tea and Symphony Concerts. One-hour performances by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra by a variety of composers.
Today’s performance will be Max Bruch’s (1838-1920) Violin Concerto No 1 credited as his most famous work, played by Australian violinist Emily Sun (1991).
In the second part we will hear Beethoven’s Symphony No 7 conducting by British conductor Mark Wigglesworth (1964).
DATE: Friday 15 September 2023
TIME: All performances are 11am-12pm, but please meet at 10.15am for complementary tea, coffee and biscuits (at the terrace on the left side). Following the performances, we will have lunch at the House Canteen Café (members purchase their own lunch).
VENUE: Sydney Opera House, Concert Hall.
