In March a new walking track has opened on the banks of Sydney Harbour: a 3km trail from Georges Head to Middle Head Gubbuh Gubbuh showcasing the area’s historic military buildings and beautiful views across the Harbour. That’s what we propose you to explore this month. It is a 6km walk.
We will meet at 10am at the Rawson Oval Pavilion and head towards Headland Park and then take the 3 km fresh new walking track described above to Middle Head.
We’ll go back thru Middle Head to Mosman Oval, stopping for lunch at the Middle Head Café (French café with nice quiches and pastries).
During this walk we will encounter military remnants, heritage buildings, natural bushland, scenic outlooks with spectacular harbour views as well as learn more about the history of Sydney’s defence.
