India has approximately 1.37 billion people and the number keeps climbing. From the 4th century for around 1,000 years, India was the only source of diamonds in the world. The original diamonds were found in the Krishna River Delta. India has a diverse landscape, colourful festivals and spicy-hot cuisine, with spices such as turmeric, cumin, saffron and chilli powders. Indians love their tea; and India is the second largest producer of tea in the world.
