DATE: Wednesday 5 October – Thursday 6 October 2016
ACTIVITY:
We will travel in the morning to Bowral, leaving by 8.30am, which gives us plenty of time to drive safely.
Wine Tasting and Lunch at McVitty Grove Vineyard/Cafe – 11.45am – 3.30 to 4.00pm (will forward a Lunch Menu prior to the trip).
Transport to and from our hotel will be in a shuttle bus so that everyone can enjoy the day.
COST:
The cost of the shuttle bus and lunch will be at your own expense.
Casual drinks/dinner in Bowral in the evening.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING DISCOUNTED ACCOMMODATION AT THE IMPERIAL HOTEL:
Imperial Hotel – Single Rooms $125.00 – Queen plus a foldout
Twin Rooms $145.00 – Queen and single beds
Queen and 2 single beds – $155.00
Breakfast is not included but is available at the Imperial Hotel or at any of the many eateries in Bowral.
SUGGESTION:
– Travel by car on Wednesday 3 August, with 3-4 ladies travelling together in one car. The driver is compensated with a monetary sum by her fellow passengers for being the driver (we did this last year when we did the overnight trip to the Hunter Valley and it worked very well).
– Let me know the names of the ladies travelling with you in your car (PLEASE SEE THE NOTE BELOW).
– We all need to be in Bowral by 11.15am at the Imperial Hotel, have a quick cup of coffee and then shuttle bus to McVitty Vineyard by 11.45 am – first for Wine Tasting and then Lunch.
– Casual Pre dinner drinks at the Imperial Hotel followed by a casual dinner in Bowral on Wednesday night.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
– Choose the Accommodation first.
– If sharing a room, please advise me the name of the person and also who will be paying for this.
– Payment in full for the accommodation by 20 August !!!
– Payment details for the accommodation will be sent to those confirmed for this trip.
– Cash payment for the Shuttle, Lunch and dinner on Wednesday 5 October.
– If you wish to do your own thing on Wednesday night, please advise me prior to the trip.
– This trip to limited to 12-14 SWIC members only. However, there will be a Waiting List.
Thursday 6 October: As it is the Tulips and Open Gardens Festival in the Southern Highlands, you can choose to visit these today (leaflets provided on Wednesday).
This part of the trip is at your own leisure.
Please advise me when you RSVP if you wish to stay another day so that you can still have the discounted accommodation.
You can pick up a Southern Highlands Spring/Summer brochure at the hotel to see what is on offer. This region has loads of interesting things to see and do apart from the SHOPPING!!!
