Eden Gardens is a huge oasis hidden away in Macquarie Park, on the edge of Lane Cove National Park. Although it is only 20 minutes’ drive from the city, it feels like a million miles away from mayhem.
Join horticulturist and renowned author Meredith Kirton as she takes you on a close-up look at these award-winning display gardens, including a 2.5 acre pleasure garden. The nursery is packed with a huge range of indoor plants, pots and over 7000 plants, including many rare and unusual species.
You’ll be able to ask about the care and maintenance involved in a myriad of plants, from native to exotic, trees to turf, as we explore together. We’ll look at the tips and tricks of successful gardening, pruning and the various methods used here to create different effects, water recycling, planting associations and the rare treasures you may have never seen before on this behind-the-scenes exploration.
Lunch afterwards (optional and at your own expense) at their fabulous restaurant and terrace with both indoor and alfresco dining options.
