Mural creation has shifted from illegal to coveted, and Sydney has become internationally recognized as an important place in the global graffiti scene.
In this two-hour tour, our guide will take us for a walk along the hidden backstreets and alleyways of Newtown and Enmore, to discover the interior world of graffiti and wall tagging. Swoop between side alleys and residential streets, unravelling an intricate history of industrial towns and suburbia being fundamental to the flourishing of street art, with its eclectic mix of artists, designers, and creatives.
We will get to learn the names and language of off-brand street artists and the meaning behind their works. We will also be venturing into the nouveau King Street and Enmore Road, famous for their unique and quirky shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. We will finish the tour with beverages at local brewery, Young Henry’s.
