10.00 am – Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!

When “Mamma Mia!” hit cinemas in 2008, audiences loved seeing Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, and Julie Walters dance and sing ABBA’s greatest hits on the silver screen. Now, the cast returns with the addition of some new faces for a sequel.

11.00am – Back to Burgundy

In his latest work, screenwriter Cédric Klapisch perfectly captures the transfixing beauty of seasonal change across one of France’s most famous winemaking regions.

12.20pm – Edie

To try and overcome a lifetime of bitterness and resentment, an older lady decides to climb a mountain in Scotland.

Please note:

The Movie Group meets on the 4th Tuesday morning each month to see a film at the Dendy Quays Cinema (between Circular Quay and the Opera House).

There are usually three films for members to choose from. Details of the films and times are posted on the SWIC Movie Group Calendar of Events on Thursday or Friday in the week before the showing, when the program is available. Please buy your ticket when you arrive at the theatre. No need to RSVP, just come along.

SWIC members usually meet before the film in the foyer of the cinema. Afterwards we go for a coffee or light lunch to the upstairs section of the City Extra Cafe opposite the Circular Quay Ferry Terminals.
