Enjoy a wander around one of Sydney’s most prized natural attractions. Covering almost 190 hectares, Centennial Park was declared a park in 1888 and was the site for the signing of Australia’s Federation on 1 January 1901. With over 15,000 trees and abundant wildlife, as well as beautiful ponds and flower beds, the parkland offers a great opportunity to kick off our summer Short Walks calendar.
We will meet at Centennial Homestead, just 100m inside the Paddington Gates which are at the junction of Oxford Street, Lang Street and Moore Park Road. The walk is a flat circular 4 kms with no steps, and for those interested we might download the walking app which will guide us and point out highlights along the walk.
We will end at Centennial Homestead to enjoy a well-earned coffee or brunch at the end.
