Short Walk – Sydney Cove Foreshores to Barangaroo

Wednesday, May 15, 2019 @ 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Join us for a stroll steeped in history. We will meet at Circular Quay, walk along the foreshore towards the Overseas Passenger Terminal checking out any ocean liners that may be in port.  Our walk will continue past a row of former warehouses built in 1839 which were just a few years ago home to trendy waterfront restaurants but are now undergoing renovation. The walk then will skirt past the Park Hyatt which, facing the Opera House and in the shadows of the Harbour Bridge, may claim to have the best vantage point in Sydney. We will then continue to Dawes Point, the site of Sydney’s first cemetery. From there we will continue to Pier 8 Café where we will stop for morning tea.  Our walk will end at Barangaroo Reserve which is close to the ferry terminal or Wynyard Station.

This walk is approximately 3 km and is flat with no stairs.  More information at https://www.sydney.com.au/circular-quay-to-darling-harbour-walk2.htm
