Due to continued uncertainty around the planning of large social functions, the Committee has decided that we will not be able to hold our usual Birthday Lunch in February. It has been decided, however, that we should go ahead with our AGM at that time as we are able to book a room large enough to allow for appropriate social distancing and, in the unlikely event that a last-minute cancellation of the day is necessary, any costs and upheaval of plans etc. would be at a minimum. Therefore,
NOTICE is hereby given that the 24th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of SWIC will be held:
On: Wednesday, 10 February 2021
At: The Kirribilli Club, 11 Harbourview Crescent, Lavender Bay, North Sydney
At: 10.45am for 11.00pm
Please Note: The meeting will commence at 11.00 am sharp and only financial members of SWIC are entitled to attend. Please also note that there will be no admission to the room after the meeting has commenced.
In addition, any matter to be put by a member, or members, to the AGM for consideration must be in writing (and if in the form of a Resolution, signed by the Proposer and Seconder) and received by the Secretary of the Club at least twenty-eight (28) days prior to the date fixed for the holding of the meeting. The Agenda for the AGM will be forwarded to members prior to the meeting.
The Club is still seeking members to join the Committee in 2021 and is very appreciative of all members who decide to contribute to the running of the Club by nominating to serve on the Committee. This is also the case when any member who has served on a previous SWIC Committee decides, after several years, to re-nominate and add her prior experience to an incoming Committee.
