For the first two productions of the year we (Judith and Liz) have something of a theme going on. We saw Kate Mulvany as Richard III a couple of years ago and her performance was so impressive we decided to ‘follow’ her.
So our first offering is her gripping adaptation of Schiller’s Mary Stuart for the Sydney Theatre Company. An empire is at stake and a queen’s life hangs in the balance. This is one of history’s great rivalries. Two powerful women of very different natures – Mary, Queen of Scots and Elizabeth I of England – cousins but not friends. The play stars two of Australia’s best known actors, Caroline Brazier (Dinner, Rake) as Mary, and Helen Thomson (The Harp in the South) as Elizabeth.

THEATRE GROUP IN MARCH – Every Brilliant Thing
In March you can see Kate Mulvany, the actor, in a one woman play called Every Brilliant Thing by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe.

This performance is at the Belvoir Upstairs Theatre, 18-25 Belvoir Street, Surry Hills.
We are buying tickets for Tuesday 26 March 2019. The performance begins 6.30pm. Single tickets for this production (i.e. assuming you have not purchased a package as a Belvoir subscriber) go on sale from 29 January 2019. As this performance is in the round there are not really any ‘bad’ places to sit. Put it in your diary as we will not be sending a reminder about ticket sales.
