SUMMARY:Special Event - Tour of 'Iranzamin' - Powerhouse Museum
DESCRIPTION:In June the Powerhouse Museum will host its first exhibition of the arts and crafts of Persia. \nStarting in the Theatrette\, the curator\, Dr Pedram Khosronejad\, will give us a 30 minute talk and then we will split into groups of 20 members for the tour. \nFollowing the tour\, you might like to visit the MAAS Café on level 3 at your own cost. This café accepts Dine NSW vouchers. \nDATE: 23 June 2021 \nTIME: 9:50am for 10.00am – 12:00pm \nLIMIT to 60 MAX. You are welcome to bring a friend as a guest provided we can accommodate all SWIC members within this group limit. \nVENUE: Powerhouse Museum\, 500 Harris Street\, Ultimo\, NSW 2007 \nCOST: Free \nRSVP TO: Lollou Tan at lollouamore7@gmail.com \nRSVP BY: 17 June 2021 \nTRANSPORT: The Powerhouse Museum is close to Central Station (Sydney Terminal)\, Broadway bus station (Railway Square)\, and Exhibition Centre Sydney Light Rail Station. The Goods Line is a 500m walk along flat terrain starting from the Devonshire Street Tunnel at Central Station’s Southern Concourse. The 501 bus stops directly outside the Museum. There is parking at nearby Wilson Parking stations in Haymarket and limited metered street parking near the Museum.
