SUMMARY:Challenging Walk – Spit to Manly Walk - Event postponed till 4th February 2025
DESCRIPTION:This iconic walk starts at the Spit Bridge. The ~10 km route hugs the coastline\, providing bush\, beach and beautiful views. It finishes at Manly Wharf. It is a well-formed track with short steep hill sections and some shade. You must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace. \nDATE: Tuesday 5 November \nTIME: 10:00am – 2:00pm approximate which includes a picnic lunch along the way \nVENUE: Meet outside the Ormeggio at The Spit restaurant \nCOST: Public transport expenses. DESCRIPTION:We will walk the ~10.5km Riverside circuit which meanders through natural bushland and a string of picturesque picnic areas in Lane Cove National Park\, just north of the Sydney CBD. Following the southern bank of Lane Cove River\, from the weir near Delhi Road to Deburghs Bridge\, the scenic walk takes in peaceful bush settings where you can stop and enjoy tranquil river views. This walk includes short steep hills and steps. It is a formed track with some obstacles. You should not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace. \nDATE: Tuesday 3 September \nTIME: 10:00 – 1:30 approximate (includes time for lunch) \nVENUE: Meet at the Koonjeree Picnic area in the Lane Cove National Park. \n \n  \nCOST: $8 parking fee. It is an easy to moderate ~10-11km walk with a duration of ~3 hours which starts and ends at Manly Wharf. Given the rain we have had\, expect some wet and muddy spots\, but hopefully not too many! For this reason\, we recommend you walk in hiking shoes. SUMMARY:Challenging Walk – Cremorne Point to Balmoral Beach
DESCRIPTION:This walk commences at Cremorne Point Wharf. It takes us past Mosman Bay\, Little Sirius Cove and Taronga Zoo. We then take in Bradley’s Head and Chowder Bay before walking through Sydney Harbour National Park and reaching our final destination at Balmoral. It is a bit over 11 kms and will probably take 3.5-4 hours. You are welcome to join us for part of this walk and depart at any point. Note you must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace \nDATE: Tuesday 2 July 2024 \nTIME: 9:20 – 2:00 approximate (includes time for lunch but excludes return travel time) \nVENUE: Circular Quay – arrive 9:20 at the wharf to catch the 9:30 am ferry arriving at Cremorne Point by 9:40. The 114 buses also leave Raglan Street at The Esplanade\, going to Spit Junction\, Military Road. From there you can catch the B-line to Wynyard. There are some other transport options that involve a 12-15 mins walk before catching a bus which are provided in the Transport NSW Trip Planner.

DESCRIPTION:This is a section of the Bondi to Manly wharf which we are repeating because it is fabulous and provides some shade protection from the sun. It starts at the Watsons Bay Wharf and continues through to Parsley Bay\, Nielson Park\, Bottle and Glass Point. Accompanies by stunning view\, you will keep walking through the Hermitage Foreshore Walk\, passing the many historical cottages\, reserves\, small beaches and bays\, before reaching Double Bay Wharf. This walk is approximately 11kms and will take approximately 3 hours. Easy walk. Undulating terrain with some steps along the Hermitage foreshore. Some sections involve street walking. You must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace.
