SUMMARY:Challenging Walk – Spit to Manly Walk - Event postponed till 4th February 2025
DESCRIPTION:This iconic walk starts at the Spit Bridge. The ~10 km route hugs the coastline\, providing bush\, beach and beautiful views. It finishes at Manly Wharf. It is a well-formed track with short steep hill sections and some shade. You must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace. \nDATE: Tuesday 5 November \nTIME: 10:00am – 2:00pm approximate which includes a picnic lunch along the way \nVENUE: Meet outside the Ormeggio at The Spit restaurant \nCOST: Public transport expenses. DESCRIPTION:An iconic cliff top coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee beach. It features stunning views of beaches\, parks and bays. We will start from the Pavilion at Bondi Beach and return there post lunch at Clovelly Beach.  This walk is approximately 12kms (6kms each way) and will take approximately 4 hours plus lunch. It’s an exposed  walk with several areas with steps. You must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace. The 380 and 333 buses leave the city from Elizabeth Street next to Hyde Park and go to Bondi Beach. The Eastern Suburbs train line reaches Bondi Junction from Central\, Town Hall and Martin Place. Then change for a 380 or 333 bus to Bondi Beach which is a 15-minute ride.

DESCRIPTION:This walk is Sydney in a nutshell\, although without the beaches. It includes Wendy Whiteley’s Secret Garden\, the historic Coal Lader\, spectacular headland harbour views and Sydney’s beautiful angophora forests. The route runs along paths through a series of local parks beside the harbour connected by short sections of street walking. It is very accessible by public transport. This walk is approximately 11kms and will take approximately 2 and a half hours. Easy walk. Undulating terrain with some steps at Balls Head Reserve. Short sections of street walking. You must not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace.
