SUMMARY:Challenging Walk – Katoomba Station to Leura Station via Grand Cliff Top Walk
DESCRIPTION:This is a full day activity where we take a return train trip to the Blue Mountains and walk from station to station via the Grand Cliff Top track. It is a beautiful ~10.5km walk covering Echo Point\, Three Sisters\, Leura Cascades and Gordons Falls landmarks. It will take ~4 hours\, including lunch\, walking at a leisurely to moderate pace. The track is mostly shaded\, is well-formed\, with several sections involving stepping stones and steps. You should not be carrying any injuries and be able to walk consistently at a moderate pace. \nDATE: Tuesday 3 March \nTIME: 8:15 – 5:30 approximate (inclusive of travel time and lunch) \nVENUE: Meet at Central Station \n \nRSVP TO: Email: SWICchallengewalk@gmail.com \nLEADERS: Sue Jamieson \nRSVP BY: Thursday 26 February \nTRANSPORT: Train from Circular Quay departing 8:25 arriving in Katoomba at 10:24. We will aim for the 3:16 return train from Leura which arrives in Central at 5:17. There is a later option leaving Leura at 3:36 and arriving in Central at 5:47. Note train timetables can change so we will confirm details closer to the walk date. \nCOST: Public transport cost at your own expense. \nLUNCH:  Bring morning tea\, a picnic lunch and at least 1 litre of water (there are three water filling stations along the walk).
