SUMMARY:International Morning Tea - Indonesia (WAITLIST)
DESCRIPTION:Our host Sinta Ekawati\, welcomes SWIC members to the beautiful Wisma Indonesia (Consulate) to enjoy a morning of Indonesian culture\, music and cuisine. \nSinta’s husband\, the Consul General of Indonesia\, will be welcoming SWIC members. Plus\, we’ll be entertained with a cultural performance of Indonesian dance and music. \nIndonesia is located among ancient trading routes and is rich with botanical resources. It is the world’s largest archipelago\, boasting over 17\,000 islands which have attracted traders\, adventurers and pirates from all over the world throughout its history. The country’s soil and climate support a number of agricultural crops\, with rice being Indonesia’s most important staple food. Dated back as early as 2300 B.C\, rice normally accompanies every meal and is often the main ingredient for desserts and beverages. \nDATE: Tuesday 9 April 2019 \nTIME: 10.30am – 12.30pm \nVENUE: The home of Sinta Ekawati\,  25 Kent Road\, Rose Bay NSW 2029 \nCOST: No cost \nRSVP TO: Jill Watson at watsongillian8@gmail.com or 0481 846 898 \nRSVP BY: Wednesday 3 April 2019 at the latest as SWIC needs to provide a list of names and contact details of attendees to meet Consulate protocol \nTRANSPORT: \nCar: Limited street parking and we suggest car sharing. \nBus: Buses depart from the city Stand A York Street QVB.  The 324 departing at 9.39am will arrive at 10.11am.   Alight at Rose Bay RSL Club Rose Bay on New South Head Road.  It’s a short walk. \nFerry: from Circular Quay to Rose Bay.  Depart wharf No. 2 at 10.17am.  It’s a few minutes’ walk to Kent Street.
