SUMMARY:Short Walk - Glebe Foreshore to the Tramsheds
DESCRIPTION:The walk starts at the Wentworth Park light rail station and continues around Blackwattle Bay and Rozelle Bay\, finishing at Jubilee Park. This walk has an even path and few steps and is very relaxing\, taking in the views of the harbour\, the Anzac\, Glebe and Sydney Harbour bridges\, and surroundings. A stop at the Tramsheds is planned\, where there are many possibilities for a coffee break or lunch. \nWe will meet at Central Station light rail\, and there are available parking spaces around Wentworth Park. \nDATE: Wednesday 15 August 2018 \nTIME: 10am-12.00pm \nVENUE: To be advised \nCOST: Refreshments at own expense \n RSVP TO: Maureen Trost-Black at trostblack@hotmail.com or 0406 362 388 \nRSVP BY: Monday 13 August 2018 \nTRANSPORT: To Central Station by train\, Wentworth Park by light rail from Central station. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Short Walk – Glebe Foreshore – no steps \nWe are going to explore the many facets of the fascinating and historic suburb of Glebe on this level walk. \nNestled against the Glebe foreshore in the city’s west\, the four parks make up more than seventeen hectares of open grasslands\, sports fields\, adventure playgrounds and wetlands. The parks also feature public toilets and bubblers\, as well as barbecue and picnic areas. Glebe Foreshore Parks are well serviced by bus and light rail links. Park your car at Chapman Road\, Annandale OR catch the light rail from Central Station to Jubilee Park Light Rail Station where we will meet. The walk is about 2-3 km to the Fish Markets following the foreshore which has glorious views of the harbour\, city and Blackwattle Bay.  Once we reach the Fish Markets\, we could have a coffee or lunch or you can catch the light rail from the Fish Market Station or Wentworth Park Station either to Central Station or back to your car in Chapman Road.
