SUMMARY:Challenging Walk - Lavender Bay to Waverton
DESCRIPTION:Hot and humid weather combined with a lot of step climbing will certainly be a challenge for those participating in this month’s walk. A circumnavigation of the coastline of McMahons and Blues Point\, Sawmillers Reserve\, Balls Head Reserve\, the Coal Loader\, Berry Island\, followed by a walk through bushland before eventually arriving at Waverton Station\, will make this walk both a challenge and offer some beautiful views of the harbour. Then refreshments at the cafe at North Sydney pool overlooking the harbour. \nDATE: Wednesday 16 October 2019 \nTIME: 10.30am – noon \nVENUE: Meet at Milsons Point ferry wharf at 10.30am \nCOST: Participants pay for their own refreshments \nRSVP TO: shortwalks.swicsydney@gmail.com by COB 15 October 2019 \nTRANSPORT: There is two hour street parking\, and there is also a car park at Luna Park. Ferries come from Circular Quay\, Balmain East\, and Rose Bay. From Milsons Point train station there is a short walk to the ferry wharf.
