SUMMARY:June Special Activity - Tour of the Camellia Gardens
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Our activity for June will be a tour of the Camellia Gardens in Caringbah South. These gardens began under the 1970 Captain Cook Bicentenary Program and the first plantings were made in 1969.  The gardens are named after Professor E G Waterhouse\, who lived in Sydney and was a leading authority on camellias.  The garden has grown over the years into its present beauty. \nDATE: Thursday 29 June 2017 – 20 people \nTIME: 10.30am \nVENUE: The Camellia Gardens\, President Avenue\, Caringbah South – followed by a light lunch at The Tea House in the gardens at your own expense.  If you are interested in lunch please advise when accepting as I will need to book the lunch venue. \nCOST: $5.00 per person payable on the day \nRSVP TO: Beatrice de Lucey – bde11306@tpg.com.au – 0422 350 834 \nRSVP BY: 22 June 2017 \nTRANSPORT: Caringbah Station is the nearest station but it is a long walk to the gardens. A taxi could be shared. There is free parking in the gardens or in Carina Road.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
