SUMMARY:Out 'n About - Elliott Eyes Collection
DESCRIPTION:The Elliott Eyes Collection is a private art collection of more than 470 works that has taken 20 years to assemble.  Its focus has\, of course\, changed over time but its emphasis is on collecting selected artists in depth\, across their career and their various media. \nOnce an artwork becomes part of a private collection it is often out of sight and out of mind\, lost to the public\, unless you are invited to come and view the works at their private home. Gordon and Michael\, the collectors and owners of the art work\, will give insights into the works\, stories about how they were obtained and their place in the wider collection. \nMichael and Gordon will talk to the whole group at the start of the visit to explain how they collection started and how it has changed over the years. Also learn about the artists. \nThe collection is in a Victorian Terrace so there are stairs around the house – some just a single step but to get upstairs there are 11 steps then one step to the back of the house and 5 steps up to the front of the house. \nDATE: Wednesday 15 April starting at 10.00 am – 12.00pm \nDURATION: approximately 1.5 to 2 hours at a relaxed walking pace \nCOST: $20 per member \nRSVP to. swic.activitymonthly@gmail.com   Attn.
