DESCRIPTION:The Woolcock Institute of Medical Research was established in 1937\, and was previously called the Institute of Respiratory Medicine. The institute is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families affected by sleep\, breathing and lung disorders\, issues that affect one in three Australians today. You may remember their fascinating presentation at SWIC’s Biggest Morning Tea recently. \nIn this tour\, we will be learning about their history\, their facility and their holistic approach from basic science into the mechanics of disease.
