SWIC Theatre Group Program – 2026

Theatre Group Co-Convenors, Cherry Spoor and Lou-anne Folder, welcome you to join us for the 2026 season.

We have centred the 2026 program around three established theatres (Ensemble Theatre – 3 plays), Griffin Theatre – 3 plays), and Sydney Theatre Company – 5 plays), and taken out a SUBSCRIPTION for each company. This has the advantage of cheaper ticket prices – and you can book now.

  • The full 2026 Program will be published on the SWIC Website NOTICEBOARD, so you can log into the website and see what’s on offer, take out a subscription and book your tickets. The seats booked by the Co-Convenors will be shown in the 2026 Program below.
  • Each month the full notice for the play will be published in the EVENTS CALENDAR on the website.
  • New members will be directed to the Noticeboard each month.
  • If you wish to join Cherry and Lou-anne for Pre-Theatre drinks/snacks,/dinner please RSVP as per the details in the Events Calendar notice.
  • In 2026 there will be no monthly reminders, follow-up or communication other than to those members who RSVP for Pre-Theatre drinks/snacks/dinner for which we must always book a table.

22 October (Thursday) The Year in Tatters

Cast includes:

The revue tradition returns to Sydney as four of Australia’s sharpest comedic performers cast a satirical eye over the highs and lows of 2026!

And they fearlessly skewer the year in politics, culture and everything in between.

9 November (Monday) Strong is the New Pretty

Written by the celebrated Australian playwright, Suzie Miller, who wrote RBG, Of Many, One, Prima Facie and Inter Alia, Suzie Miller.

In 2010, an official report into the state of Australian Rules Football recommended the creation of a national women’s league. Seven years later, the AFLW was born.
